Your Options

Slovakia has three health insurance companies:

VšZP (Všeobecná zdravotná poisťovňa) — largest, state-owned

Dôvera — private

Union — private

How to Register

If you’re employed, your employer handles registration. Self-employed or unemployed? Visit any insurance company office with your residence permit.
